Heavily soiled, water damaged and a lot of Urine

Had a rug delivered last week, woolen with cotton backed hand woven rug. A pungent odour of urine came from the rug, i put the rug into a solution bath then squeeged the rug and extracted. The odour was still very pungent. I contacted a chemist friend, who made up a lemon scented product to attack the urine salt causing the odour. The rug is now clean and fresh rerady for deilvery
