How do I look after my carpet?

Your carpets installation will need maintenance to keep the investment looking good and maximise the carpets life.

A dry clean is preferable with no water. Most of the stain needs to removed dry before and chemical application. You only get one maybe two applications before it turns to "paper machete' .

Damaged rug or carpet from bugs / wear

Is your carpet or rug being damaged by bugs ? Is your carpet or rug wearing out ?

Cleaning Carpet - Spot Cleaning Tea and Coffee stains

What do i do when I get a tea or coffee stain?

There are many ways to assist removal.










- Absorb the spill
             - Paper towel
             - A new toilet roll
             - Salt
             - Soda water(check fiber can handle water)
these will absorb and assist to dilute the stain, when the spill is wet you can usually blot most of the spill no treatment required. (DO NOT RUB or AGITATE) This will distort the fiber.


The best way to clean any stain is with a light detergent mix 1 x teaspoon detergent(dish washing detergent such as "morning Fresh") and luke warm glass of water 250mls.  




Use a white tea towel to gently blot the stain with the detergent mixture keep applying until there is not transfer. Call Able Carpet Care to remove any further staining. 03-9562-7565

Brown marks on carpet or upholstery - Clean a Brown Mark

Browning of a fibre can happen for a number of reasons.\
