Clean TrustThe Clean Trust, formerly the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC), is seen to be ‘moving forward’ with plans for an independent international trade association initially approved at The Clean Trust executive committee and board of directors meetings in 2010.

According to a press release dated 27 December 2011, The Clean Trust is finalising the structure of the organisation and expects to launch the new association this year. The association will provide education, programmes, services and products to individuals, companies and supporting organisations involved in the inspection, cleaning and restoration industry.

“The Clean Trust is deeply committed to providing the cleaning, restoration and inspection industry with the tools and resources necessary to grow their businesses and better serve their customers,” said Darrell Paulson, The Clean Trust chairman of the board. “This trade association will internationally unify the industry and support collaboration to pursue common goals and interests.”

The association is said to ‘provide members with education and access to research and specialised information’, as well as ‘direct government affairs activities, including increasing member awareness of state and federal legislative activity throughout the United States’.

Both The Clean Trust and the international trade association claim to ‘offer networking and professional development opportunities for industry professionals’.
